Hey, I’m Shan, and I’m completely obsessed with love, laughter, and the kind of moments that deserve to be remembered forever.
I’m the face behind Captured Photography and Design, and for me, this isn’t just a job - it’s what lights me up. Photographing weddings is about more than stunning images (although you’ll get plenty of those!). It’s about connection, storytelling, and capturing your day with heart, soul, and all the in-between magic that makes it yours.
I’ve been lucky enough to document love stories all over Australia for more than 20 years - from Byron Bay to Broome. From the windswept coastlines of Tassie to the golden outback sunsets in the NT. From Airlie Beach to the Adelaide Hills,
I’ve been named one of Australia’s Top 5 Wedding Photographers and I’m a proud #1 Winner at the Wedding Industry Awards for multiple years running … but honestly? The real honour is being invited into, & trusted with, such a meaningful chapter in people’s lives.
These photographs will outlive the day itself, becoming the memories you return to, the moments you’ll treasure forever. That thought is with me every single time I click the shutter.
I live by the beach in Gippsland, VIC, but travel anywhere love takes me. Whether you’re planning a luxe destination wedding or a laid-back elopement with just your favourite people, I’ll be there - capturing the tears, the belly laughs, the wild dance floor moments, and everything in between.
I’ve usually got my partner Shaun right beside me. He’s the behind-the-scenes legend who helps the day flow smoothly - fixing veils, scouting light, carrying gear, and keeping everything on track like the MVP he is! Together, we bring a calm, fun, and relaxed energy that makes you feel like you’ve got two extra friends along for the ride.
Our couples tell us they felt totally at ease - like they could just be themselves, soak it all in, and know it was all being captured beautifully and naturally.

Your photographer will likely capture the last best photo of someone you truly care about. And trust me, they’ll remember. With every press of the shutter, I’m always thinking of how precious and irreplaceable those moments are. Moments captured that will be passed down through the generations. Moments with loved ones that will be captured & cherished long after they’re gone.
